Thursday - August 26, 1982 -  9:55 am

9:55 am E.D.T. - Dad went to Atlantic City today. It's a beautiful day. The George Washington Bridge is backed up and I hope we don't have too long to wait for the traffic to move. I have mixed emotions about getting home. I want to go home but I keep thinking of what I have to do when we get back.

1:40 pm E.D.T. - Stopped at Selda's for lunch.

3:00 pm  - The last lap of our journey.

3:50 pm - Made it! Coast to Coast to Coast! 8,268 miles.

Just a few more personnal thoughts and observations from me. This was one incredible trip. These days, I don't think many people could pull it off. You can't get 5 weeks off. The prices would likely be ten times what we paid then. But it's also one of those experiences that you will have till your dying day. If you ever get a chance to take such a trip, do it. It's well worth it.

I hope you enjoyed this glimpse of our journey and it inspires you.

If you happen to see anything that I need to correct, please don't hesitate to email me and let me know. Just use the subject "Cross-Country Trip" and I'll know what it's about. Also, if you would like to use any of these photos, please just give us credit for taking them.

Thank you for reading. I very much hope you liked what you read and it gave a few laughs along the way.
